Neither primary nor secondary education is completely free in Tanzania. Parents in rural villages with no education of themselves often don’t send their girl child to school because they worry it will be a waste of their resources. This has an obvious impact on their employment opportunities later on in life. We would like to see this trend change within our community, which is why Kisarawe Vocational School is helping girls and young mothers with babies get training in programs like: hairdressing, baking, cooking and sewing and the girls will be able to work in related fields upon completion. Our Kisarawe school sponsorship department is already helping some girls at the nursery school with education and with the start of the sewing course various girls/women have been asking about the course. Identifying candidates for school sponsorship will be done thoroughly with the local leadership to ensure sponsorship to those that are really in need.

Sponsoring a child equips them with everything they need to be successful in the classroom. It’s also an opportunity to build a lasting, meaningful friendship. Here you can find our bank details as well as the paypal link.
